Travel: Getaways that Don't Break the Bank

NEWPORT NEWS, Virginia - the travel season officially begins Memorial Day weekend, but increase in gas prices threaten already vacation plans.

Spring break for less than $100

The fun starts Sunday at a free farm and a zoo.

Monday, the Ackers took a trip to the zoo, with their membership cost only $45. A gift from grandparents covered the balance remaining of the assessment. They were also to lunch in a restaurant of rapid restoration for only $11 with a coupon.

On Wednesday, the family went to a State Park.
